Our Story

Accessible, inclusive beauty — and a standard of hygiene we refuse to compromise on.

Who we are

Luxury Nails. Accessible to All.

A good set of nails should be something you can have whenever you want one — not a treat you save up for. That idea is why we exist, and it still decides how we price every service on the menu.

We opened our first Australian salon in 2000. Since then we have grown to hundreds of locations across Australia and New Zealand, without changing what a visit costs or what it feels like.

We are also a trade, not just a shopfront. Our stylists are nail artists who take the work seriously, and a lot of them have been with us for years. That shows up in the finish.

Hygiene is the part we will not move on. Every salon follows strict sterilisation and cleaning protocols, so the only thing you need to think about in the chair is the colour.

Careful work, fair prices, and a team that genuinely likes doing this — that combination is the whole business.

Our History.

ProfessioNail started in New Orleans in 1992, in a city that has never been short of style. The idea behind it was simple: proper nail care, done well, at a price ordinary people could justify.

At the time that was harder to find than it sounds. Quality work usually meant a premium salon and a premium bill, and the cheaper end of the market rarely offered the full range of treatments.

Sitting in that gap turned out to be a business. We were among the first to offer full-service, high-end nail treatments at prices that did not require an occasion.

One salon became several, then a network, and eventually something with reach well beyond where it began.

Today the brand — which also trades as Nail Studio in some markets — runs hundreds of locations across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Northern Europe and Asia. Australia alone accounts for more than 140 of them.

At that spread, there is a reasonable chance one is closer to you than you would expect.

Three decades on, the standard we set early — premium work without the premium markup — is still the one we are measured against.
