A word of advice

How to keep your nails looking fresh and beautiful for longer.

Advice to improve your nail care

You can take our word for it.

  • Skip heat and soaking

Give saunas, steam rooms and long soaks a miss for the first 24 hours.

  • Re-book early

Most enhancements want a touch-up every two to three weeks.

  • Wear gloves

Detergents and cleaning chemicals cause lifting and discolouration.

  • Nails are not tools

Opening and prising things apart is how most breaks happen.

  • Use a cuticle oil

A daily drop keeps the nail bed supple and the skin healthy.

  • Mind the little things

Gentle habits compound, and your set holds its finish far longer.

Infection factsheet

A little knowledge goes a long way between visits.

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly, especially around the cuticle line. Most problems start with moisture trapped against the nail.

Picking at a lifting edge tears the nail plate and opens a route for bacteria. Book a repair instead.

A light cuticle oil daily keeps skin supple. Constant moisture under an enhancement is counterproductive.

Wear gloves for washing up, cleaning and gardening.

Redness, swelling, tenderness or a change in colour is worth looking at early.

Home removal with force or harsh solvents does more damage than the original problem.

Files, buffers and clippers should be yours alone, or sterilised between clients.

A short break between sets lets the natural nail recover its strength.

Stop using product on the nail, keep it clean and dry, and speak to a pharmacist or GP.

Good habits between appointments do more for nail health than any single treatment.

Not satisfied with your service?

We would far rather hear about it than have you say nothing. Speak to the salon first — the team who did the work can usually put it right on the spot. If a problem appears within seven days, bring it back and we will take care of it.
